This year's format will be closer to the Paris Shooter Symposium held in 2011, which brought together the leading developers on that genre. Upon popular request the three days will focus on the following topics:
- Day #1 Game AI Training Day for Professionals:
On September 2nd, 2013, we will host the first “Game AI Training Day for Professionals” as a day packed with tutorial presentations from experts in the field, as well as focused Q&A sessions. All the important topics for building characters into games will be covered, from the design to the architecture, including the programming!
- Day #2 AI Buddies Symposium:
The AI Buddies Symposium on September 4th, 2013, is an intense workshop combining invited talks from leading studios as well as masterclasses on key topics. You’ll learn everything you need to know about building believable companions into your game, the design decisions (and compromises) you'll need to make, and what underlying technology you need to drive such prominent characters.
- Day #3 AI Directors Symposium:
On September 4th, 2013, it's the AI Directors' turn with a comprehensive workshop about building experience management into your game, the underlying technology you’ll need, the design trade-offs you’ll need to make, what kinds of workflows are necessary, and how you’ll debug and test everything!
