Tim Hanagan (Rocksteady)
Tim is the Lead AI Programmer at Rocksteady Studios Ltd, the developer behind the highly acclaimed BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM and BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY. Tim has been responsible for artificial intelligence there for over 7 years, on both those titles. He previously worked at Argonaut Software in London, and earned his degree in AI from the University of Sussex.
Jan Kratochvil (2K Czek)
Jan is Lead Programmer at 2K Czek, formerly Illusion Softworks, the developer of the MAFIA series, HIDDEN & DANGEROUS, and most recently TOP SPIN 4. Jan has been responsible for artificial intelligence on the original MAFIA, and general gameplay programming as well as AI on MAFIA 2. He studied Theoric Informatics at Charles University in Prague.
Kieran D’Archambaud (Evolution Studios)
Kieran is Lead AI and Game Programmer at Evolution Studios, owned by Sony Computer Entertainment, responsible for the MOTORSTORM franchise in particular. Kieran has been involved in the AI for multiple motorstorm games, and has worked for SCEE for over 4 years. Previously, he worked at Rare Ltd for almost 4 years and worked on the multiplayer AI for PERFECT DARK ZERO.
Kasper Fauerby (IO Interactive)
Kasper is a Lead Physics Programmer at IO Interactive, a studio best known for the HITMAN franchise as well as KANE & LYNCH. Kasper worked on the crowd system for HITMAN: ABSOLUTION most recently having worked at IO for over 5 years, and previously was Core Engine programmer at Deadline Games for 4 years. He studied Computer Science and Math at Aarhus Universitet.
Michael Büttner (IO Interactive)
Michael is now Technical Producer at IO Interactive, and worked as a Lead Animation, Gameplay & AI Programmer primarily for almost 4 years. He's contributed to the core animation technology of HITMAN: ABSOLUTION in particular. Previously, he worked at Sun Microsystems, and studied Computer Engineering at University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt.
Jörg Reisig (Yager Development)
Jörg has been an AI Programmer at Yager Development for almost 4 years, working on SPEC OPS: THE LINE for publisher 2K Games most recently. He previously worked at Radeon Labs, and studied 3D Programming at the Games Academy in Germany.
Nic Melder (Codemasters)
Nic is the Lead AI Programmer of the Ego's Racing Group, Codemaster's internal engine technology. In particular, Nic worked on the racing artificial intelligence for many titles including DiRT, GRID, and F1 2010. He previously earned his Ph.D. at the University of Reading.
Kieran Lord (Cratesmith Productions)
Kieran Lord worked at Pandemic in Australia on DESTROY ALL HUMANS 2 and two un-announced AAA titles for consoles. He’s since become an independent developer, not only building his own games and Unity plugins, but also becoming a core contributor on VESSEL. Most notably, he worked on the dynamic sound/music system as well as gameplay and NPC artificial intelligence. Kieran is now a resident expert at the AiGameDev.com Labs in Austria.
Christian Bauckhage (Fraunhofer)
Christian is a world expert in statistical pattern recognition, data mining, and machine learning and works at Fraunhofer IAIS in the University of Bonn. He's worked with European Game developers to analyze and understand gameplay data, in particular how players behave in online games and how the data can be used to assist development.
